President, Head of Strategy & Research

Carly Fink is a market research expert and brand strategy leader and the President and Founder of Provoke Insights, a full-service market research and consulting firm. With more than twenty years of experience in market research, advertising, and brand strategy, Carly helps organizations understand consumer behavior and develop marketing strategies grounded in data and insight.

As a market research expert, Carly works closely with leadership teams, brands, and agencies to uncover consumer insights that guide business decisions. Through her work at Provoke Insights, she leads research initiatives focused on brand strategy, advertising effectiveness, audience segmentation, and evolving consumer trends. In addition, her work helps organizations identify growth opportunities, strengthen brand positioning, and develop more effective marketing strategies.

Before founding Provoke Insights, Carly held research and strategy roles at The Harris Poll, J. Walter Thompson, and Grey Advertising. During her career, she has worked with organizations including the FDA, Dropbox, Andersen Windows, Bank of America, GSK, AIG, Procter & Gamble, USPS, Constant Contact, eToro, and the New York Blood Center. As a result, these engagements have helped organizations translate consumer insights into strategies that drive marketing performance and brand growth.

In addition, Carly is a long-time educator and thought leader in market research and marketing strategy. She has taught Branding, Marketing, and Market Research in the Baruch College MBA program for more than thirteen years. She has also lectured at New York University and Boston University, sharing practical insights on how research and strategy intersect in modern marketing.

Carly graduated with honors from Lafayette College and later earned dual master’s degrees from Boston University in Applied Communication Research and Advertising. She also received her MBA in Marketing from Baruch College.

At Provoke Insights, Carly continues to lead research programs that help organizations better understand their audiences, identify opportunities for growth.
